An Advocacy Letter from Eastchester's Board of Education

Read the latest advocacy letter sent from Eastchester's Board of Education to Governor Hochul, State Legislators, the New York State Department of Health, New York State Department of Education, and Westchester County Executive Latimer. The letter calls on New York State officials for informed, science-based adjustments to the masking requirements in schools. This letter was sent prior to Hochul's announcement stating that beginning March 3, 2022, masks will be optional in schools. EUFSD will be following this ruling in our schools. Please refer to the email message sent on February 27 for more information on how we plan to move forward in the current landscape in regard to masking requirements.
