Eastchester SMART: Minnie Centers on STEM
In the latest edition of Eastchester SMART, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction Scott Wynne chats with K-12 STEM Supervisor Irene "Minnie" Iannuzzi about the District's STEM philosophy including the Four Cs; communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity, Minnie's Fifth C; connection, and the work taking place to ensure that our students develop the skills to succeed in academics and in the real world.

An Advocacy Letter from Eastchester's Board of Education
Read the latest advocacy letter sent from Eastchester's Board of Education to Governor Hochul, State Legislators, the New York State Department of Health, New York State Department of Education, and Westchester County Executive Latimer. The letter calls on New York State officials for informed, science-based adjustments to the masking requirements in schools. This letter was sent prior to Hochul's announcement stating that beginning March 3, 2022, masks will be optional in schools. EUFSD will be following this ruling in our schools. Please refer to the email message sent on February 27 for more information on how we plan to move forward in the current landscape in regard to masking requirements.

In Case You Missed It: Eastchester High School Seniors Named 2022 Regeneron Scholars
Understanding the impacts of climate change on hurricanes. And decreasing socioeconomic barriers to mammogram services for New York City women. Those were the ambitious goals that propelled two Eastchester High School seniors, Riley Gabrielle Keating and Ava Tsapatsaris, to be named Scholars in this year's Regeneron Science Talent Search, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and math competition.
