    Q. Where can I find my student’s bus information?

    A. Bus information for students can be found in the Home Access Center.

    Q. What should I do if my child’s but is running late?

    A. Buses may run late for a number of reasons. If the bus is running late by 10 minutes or more please contact the Transportation Department at (914) 793-6130, ext. 4444.

    What should I do if my child missed the bus? 

    A. Students must be at the AM bus stop 5 minutes before the scheduled stop time and must be present at the bus stop when the bus gets there. If your child missed the bus because they were not at the bus stop on time the bus will not come back and you will be responsible to transport your child to school. If the bus did not arrive for pick up, please contact the Transportation Department at (914) 793-6130, ext. 4444.

    What if my child needs to stay after school?

    A. Late buses are provided for students in Grades 6-12 at EHS/EMS. Students who need to stay after school must obtain a late bus pass from the school office. There are two late buses that leave the High School/Middle School at approximately 3:40 PM.

    Q. What should I do if my child leaves something on the bus?

    A. You should be able to get the item back the next day from the school bus driver. If you need immediate assistance locating an item please contact the Transportation Department at (914) 793-6130, ext. 4444.

    QDo I need to apply for childcare transportation each year?

    A. Yes, the request form can be found on the District’s Transportation Page and must be completed and returned each year by April 1.

    Q. Do I need to apply for nonpublic school transportation each year?

    A. Yes, the request form can be found on the District’s Transportation Page and must be completed and returned each year by April 1.

    Q. How can my child get off the bus on their own in the afternoon and walk home from the bus stop?

    A. Authorization to walk forms for students in grades 2-5 can be found on the District’s Transportation Page and must be completed and returned each year. Changes that are made may take a few days to reflect on the school bus driver’s paperwork. Please wait for them to confirm they have the updated information.
