    District Selects Briger Security Services as New Security Services Company

    At its July 28th Board Meeting, the Eastchester Board of Education appointed Briger Security Services as its new Security Service Provider, replacing Summit Security. Briger has an outstanding reputation with school districts in the area, excelling at attracting and retaining guards with ex-law enforcement and ex-military experience. Briger was selected following a rigorous and competitive bid process and we are delighted to bring them aboard as a trusted security partner.

    District Bolsters Security, Hires Jeff Hunter as Emergency Management Coordinator

    The Eastchester Board of Education approved at its July 28, 2020 meeting the addition of a half-time, on-site Safety, Security and Emergency Management Coordinator. This position will oversee continuous improvement of our school and district level safety, security and emergency management procedures and will be subcontracted through the district's security consultant, Altaris. We are pleased to announce that Jeff Hunter will be filling this position as he transitions from the Eastchester Police Department. Lieutenant Hunter's law enforcement expertise, along with his knowledge and commitment to the Eastchester community will be a wonderful asset to our district.
