Facilities

The Eastchester UFSD Facilities & Operations Department oversees the maintenance, groundskeeping, and custodial services of the district’s (6) six buildings; totaling over 500,000 square feet and over 40 acres of land.

Each building has a head custodian on-site, assisted by a custodial staff. The district has a maintenance foreman to oversee the maintenance department including groundskeeping, supported by 4 laborers, 3 maintenance mechanics and 1 mail courier. 

The department is responsible for yearly operations including maintenance and repairs, daily cleaning, snow plowing, lawn maintenance, set up for all events, athletic fields, community use and summer refurbish. 

In addition to daily operations, the department plays a critical role in the District’s capital construction projects. The Director of Facilities works closely with the Business Office, Architects/Engineers and Construction Managers.
