Board of Education

It is the mission of the Eastchester Public Schools to provide a quality education in a safe, stable, and secure environment that fosters mutual respect, promotes the uniqueness of the individual, provides opportunities for student successes, and guides all students intellectually, emotionally, physically, and socially.

After deliberation and discussion, the School Board has identified two new priorities (bolded) for the upcoming school year. 

As such, we intend to:

• Strengthen School Security
• Improve Student Outcomes and Program Offerings
• Initiate a District-wide Review of Guidance and College/Career Systems
• Examine Unmet Building/Classroom Technology and Athletic Field Needs
• Form Partnerships to Address Student Mental Health and Emotional Well Being
• Develop an Actionable Plan that Invests in Student-Athletes, Coaches, and Improves Athletic Facilities and Fields
• Institute teacher and Leadership Development Programs Consistent with New York State's Standards-based Educator Evaluator and Support Plan (STEPS)
