A Message from Dr. Villanueva: Fall is Here!

Dear Eastchester Faculty, Families, and Community,

It’s officially Fall and our district is humming! Over the past two weeks, our Open Houses and Back to School Nights have been so full of energy, with families visiting classrooms and meeting teachers. Each of our schools proudly welcomed parents into their buildings on these nights to showcase the start of this year’s academic journey, and our PTAs once again rounded out each evening with amazingly vibrant creativity!

With an array of outdoor festivals and events open to the community this season, there are some fantastic opportunities for Eastchester families to have some fun in-and-around town.

Tomorrow’s EHS Multicultural Club Fall Festival will be held in the EHS Cafeteria from 2-5 p.m. Sunday’s Eastchester’s 5K road race is also another longstanding tradition that speaks to our great community spirit!

Here are a few more upcoming events to keep in mind:

• 9/29 - EHS College Fair
• 10/12 - Columbus Day, Schools Closed - Make sure to check out the Eastchester Columbus Day Carnival, which will running all weekend!
• 10/16-17 - Homecoming Weekend

Lastly, on Tuesday September 15, the Eastchester Board of Education had a regularly scheduled BOE meeting that highlighted presentations from each of our schools, the athletic department, special education team and facilities crew. If you would like to view any of these presentations, they can be found here.

Have a wonderful weekend, Eastchester!

Dr. V
