A Message from Dr. Villanueva & Mrs. Cappiello
Dear Eastchester Faculty and Families,
As we continue our planning for the 2026–2027 school year, we are pleased to share an important leadership update regarding our Special Education Department and the administrative team at Anne Hutchinson School.
It is with great enthusiasm that we announce that Mrs. Eleni Parisi has been asked to join the Central Office team in an interim, district-wide role as one of Eastchester's Special Education leaders for the 2026–2027 school year.
Mrs. Parisi is an exceptionally qualified educational leader with extensive experience serving as an assistant principal within New York City's District 75 and principal in Putnam Northern Westchester Boces, both districts dedicated exclusively to educating students with significant disabilities and specialized learning needs. Throughout her career, she has established a long-standing reputation for her tireless work ethic, unwavering commitment to students, and her thoughtful, student-centered approach to developing high-quality educational programming. She is also a highly respected administrator with a deep understanding of special education law and a proven ability to make thoughtful decisions that place students at the center of every conversation.
While we recognize that the Anne Hutchinson community may understandably feel a sense of mixed emotions in seeing Mrs. Parisi step into this new role, we hope our families and staff will also take great pride in knowing that one of their own will be serving in a district-wide capacity because of the tremendous confidence we have in her leadership.
The Eastchester community as a whole will gain an outstanding leader whose expertise will directly benefit students and families across all four of our schools. Her appointment is a testament to the strength of the leadership that exists within our district and to the positive impact she has already made at Anne Hutchinson.
As part of this reorganization, Mrs. Eleni Parisi will join the district's current Special Education leadership team, working alongside Mrs. Christie Garin Mileto and Mrs. Erin McGee to support students, families, and staff across all four schools.
To ensure continuity for the Anne Hutchinson community, the district will appoint a highly qualified interim leave replacement Assistant Principal.
Most importantly, we want to reassure our Anne Hutchinson families and faculty that we are deeply committed to ensuring a seamless transition in leadership. The relationships, systems, and programs that make Anne Hutchinson such a special place will continue uninterrupted. The district will work closely with the incoming interim administrator, Mrs. Parisi, and the entire Anne Hutchinson team to ensure continuity, stability, and support throughout the school year.
We could not be more excited to welcome Mrs. Parisi into this new role. Her appointment represents an opportunity to bring fresh perspectives and innovative thinking to our Special Education Department while strategically strengthening our programming and advancing important cost-containment initiatives.
As we often say in Eastchester, Four campuses, Four pillars, One vision, Elevate Eastchester! This leadership transition embodies that very belief. While one school is generously sharing a remarkable leader with the rest of the district, the entire Eastchester community stands to benefit from her talents and expertise.
Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Parisi on this exciting opportunity and in welcoming her to this important district-wide role.
Sincerely,
Dr. Alison Villanueva Mrs. Laura Cappiello
