We would like to take this opportunity to share some information regarding available services at the Eastchester Public Library that are available to you during the Pandemic. Even though the Library remains closed, our librarians are still serving the community in many ways.
Book Bundles --The librarians are preparing “book bundles” for curbside distribution. Parents, you can fill out a form on the library website indicating your child’s areas of interest. Our wonderful and knowledgeable librarians will prepare a bundle of books for you to pick up curbside! The librarians are also preparing bundles for teens and adults. This is a wonderful way for readers of all ages to discover new authors! The librarians have continued to review and purchase new books throughout the extended closure, so they have many exciting new titles to share.
Zoom programs are offered for children of all ages, including literacy and story time for the little ones and coding for the older children. Visit the website for more information.
E Book Collections - many collections are available at https://www.westchesterlibraries.org/listen-read/ with your library card.
Hoopla is recommended for children. It is very easy to navigate and has a similar design to the SORA site described below.
Also - SORA is available for all Eastchester Students through your child’s class link account. Please see the video from Susan Chester for more information:Sora Introduction for Parents
