Eastchester High School Business Students Prepare for National Competition
The Eastchester Union Free School District recognizes members of the Future Business Leaders of America Club (FBLA) who competed in the State Championships and will now move onto the Nationals in June. This is the first year EHS students participated in this competition. FBLA hosts over 70 academic contests in a wide range of topics such as leadership, technology, business, public speaking, and social sciences.
Advisor Lauren Stipo prepared the students for the virtual competition held in March and April. “FBLA is an internationally recognized student organization that provides high school students with the necessary leadership skills and business knowledge to succeed beyond high school,” said Stipo. “Members have the opportunity to deepen their expertise in fields of interest, collaborate with other dedicated students, and put their knowledge to the test. We also participate in fundraising and community service events to equip members with leadership, communication and teamwork skills while uplifting the school and community.” Competitions begin at regional and state levels, and high achievement culminates in recognition at the National Leadership Conference.
