Studying the humanities allows students to make sense of their world and the human experience.  In the K-12 setting, students learn to read, write, and communicate about their experiences and the experiences of others.  Students examine the past in order to understand the present and prepare for participation in the future.  English/ELA and Social Studies curricula in Eastchester are aligned to New York State Standards and encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and skill development within and across disciplines.
