Dear Greenvale Family,

Thank you for responding to the change of Learning Location survey.  As I stated in the last Echo, we had very few changes.  We are continuing to layout the classrooms for April 12th. Parents who have requested a change to remote or in-person learning should have received information from Greenvale informing you of the change and the new teacher assigned.  If you have not received that information please email Ms. Konkus and she will provide you with that information.

For students who are coming to in-person instruction please begin to practice wearing a mask for extended periods. While breaks are given, it is something that you are going to have become accustomed to wearing during the school day.

For students going into the remote classroom settings, please establish a workspace with all of the things that you will need for instruction for the full day.   Please keep your cameras on and inform your teachers when you need to leave.

Parents, please be sure to respond to the NYS testing survey sent out by Mr. Wynne.  If your child is in the remote classes and you want them to take the NYS tests, answer the survey as if they are hybrid and indicate which test(s) that you would like them to take.  Your responses will help immensely with planning. As stated in Mr. Wynne’s correspondence only book 1 of the ELA and math tests will be given.   The Science test will only consist of the written test and not the performance test.  We have not been informed by NYS as to when the results will be back and we can not rely solely on the tests to determine how our students are performing. We will continue to use our internal assessments to gauge how our students are doing and to determine what areas of the curriculum we will need to focus on for the upcoming school year.

Everyone have a wonderful break!
