Eastchester School Board Grants Tenure to Administrators and Faculty
The Eastchester Board of Education honored more than a dozen administrators and faculty members on April 20, granting them tenure for their service to the Eastchester Union Free School District.
Family members joined the honorees for this milestone achievement at Eastchester High School, where EUFSD Superintendent Dr. Robert Glass recognized their achievements as heroic.
“This is something that they have earned through hard work and perseverance, dedication and selfless service,” said Dr. Glass. “Tenure is confirmed upon individuals who consistently set a high standard for integrity and for professionalism. They set an example that elevates the level of learning in the classroom and inspires the best from colleagues who serve beside them.”
Building principals acknowledged each candidate and highlighted their accomplishments and dedication to students. School Board President Robert Summer extended his gratitude to the candidates.
“You are not just great teachers; you are great educators, and you are the heart of Eastchester. You are what makes this a great school district. We couldn’t do it without you. We succeed because of you.”
