On Tuesday, Nov. 22, the Greenvale PTA held its annual Fifth Grade Thanksgiving Breakfast, allowing students the opportunity to share a festive meal with their friends before the holiday break.

Greenvale Principal Joanna Napolitano said that the event is not only a celebration of the season, but also an example of Greenvale's students' commitment to building a welcoming community.

"It's a great way for the kids to kick off the holiday season," she said. "Social-Emotional Learning is one of the core components of what we teach here and this shows the camaraderie, not just with smaller groups of friends, but across the whole grade."
