Eastchester SMART: Minnie Centers on STEM

Welcome back to Eastchester SMART, an ongoing series focused on the District's strategic vision and goals for the school year.

The purpose of this series is to provide transparency to parents, students, and staff as we continue to work toward the goals that support our strategic vision and improve the experience for all our students.

SMART stands for:

Specific;

Measurable;

Achievable;

Realistic;

Timely.

These are the guiding principles for attaining our goals.

In this latest edition, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction Scott Wynne chats with K-12 STEM Supervisor Irene "Minnie" Iannuzzi about the District's STEM philosophy including the Four Cs; communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity, Minnie's Fifth C; connection, and the work taking place to ensure that our students develop the skills to succeed in academics and in the real world.
