Board Adopts 2023-2024 Budget
On April 18, the Eastchester Board of Education officially adopted a budget of $101,856,200 for the 2023-2024 school year. The adopted budget, which comes with a 0.0% Tax Levy Increase for residents, represents a 5.9% increase ($5,648,200) over this year’s school budget.
Among the elements included in the budget are items aimed at improving school security (including the hiring of additional School Resource Officers), strengthening academic outcomes (the implementation of world language instruction at the elementary school level) and bolstering the college, career counseling services of the District (including funding for in-and-out-of-school programs to increase student performance on the PSAT, SAT and ACT exams).
More detailed information concerning the 2023-2024 budget will be made available to the public by April 25.
The School Budget Vote/Trustee Election will take place on Tuesday, May 16, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Eastchester Middle School Gymnasium. Some important links concerning the budget and voting process can be found below:
